me- "Yeah, I'm a big car fanatic"
Other person- "cool, so what do you drive?" Me- "... ford Fiesta" Other party's response varies, but usually laughter follows. Meh, the Fiesta still kicks their car's butt 99% of the time anyway!!! Also- "ooh, I love that colour!!!!"

Not too me, but when the other half took mine in to work to give it a good once over just after I bought it:
Work mates: That your new car mate? Dave:Nah, it's the missus. Guys: So... your missus drives a blue ute, and you own a pulsar.... Lulz ensued for the next six months till he got the XR8. He still has the pulsr though *chuckles* The other one I get it a lot is the "your boyfriend know you broke the nose of his car?" "I dunno, I didn't know I'd broken the nose of his car, I broke the nose of MY car on the **** of his car, because our utes like to be close together. I'll ask him though for you!"

From a VE SSV driver;
"Not bad for a 6! that gearbox is tight" From a young Skyline owner; What have you done to that thing!?" Bone stock FG F6. Also get alot of admiration stares. Only when it's clean though. When it's dirty I could be driving an old VN or something it seems. |

Things I've heard regarding the Pig.
"Nice HQ" (Younger kid) "Have you had it since new?" (I'm 34?!?!) "Is it a real GT?" (No GT decals on my car!) "It's not a real GT?" (A guy looking at my rego label at the AFD last year) "Is that a V8?" "What's the Clevo Mafia?" "What's your number plate mean?" (MINTXB, I'm sure you can work it out!!) "Do a burn out" (At a set of lights) ....and I heard a guy at a car show once say to his mate.. "Nice XC, they're my favourite of the GT's"

It seems young guys these days still appreciate a nice vehicle but know nothing about them. Pulled up at Kings Beach yesterday for lunch and the first question this young bloke asks me about the GT,
"Is that a V8 or V12"! |

I've been asked if my shaker was a supercharger once, and also I had a person try to tell me I bought a mocked up xr8..
And I've also had someone saying that their v6 vs commy sounds better than car

A mate of mine owns a VZ SS 6.0L Thunder ute, he never stops bragging about the power of it. After a drive in my XR6t he looked at me blankly and said "that thing is insane and would destroy my car" lol
He doesn't brag so much anymore |
