Hey everyone, last night I took my mate home and when he got out of my xr6 the door wouldn't shut properly. Keeped just opening back up. After a few times it closed. It's only the pasenger side front thats doing it. What could it be? Haven't had time to look at it yet

Are the screws that hold the accutator loose? I've found mine loosen sometimes and this happens

Must be worn either in the door or the striker plate.
If it was me I'd have a talk to a friendly panelbeater and ask why it wont close and how much to fix it.

mine did that on the rear driver side, latch would stay in the open position after lifting the handle.
a good dose of lithium grease on the locking mechanism fixed it |

Happened to me once, turned out the rubber door seal had come out and was making it bounce back open.

Some people consider this as not shutting properly.
