For those of us who don't feel like trolling youtube for specs:
BLN 363 ENGINE COMBO • WORLD BLOCK WINDSOR 8.2 DECK 4.125 BORE 4 BOLT MAINS • SCAT STROCKER CRANK 3.4 INCH • SCAT RODS 5.4 INCH • SCAT FLEXPLATE • PROBE PISTONS (CERAMIC COATED) • MELINGS HIGH VOLUME PUMP • HIGH ENERGY SUMP • ROLLMASTER TIMIMG CHAIN • ROMAC HARMIC BALANCER • CLEVITE TRI AMOR MAIN AND CONROD BEARINGS • SPEED PRO RINGS • SOLID ROLLER CAM • CRANE ROLLER LIFTERS • FACTORY GT40 HEADS FULLY PORTED (CERAMIC COATED CHAMBERS) • FERRERA VALVES (CERAMIC COATED) • PSI POLISHED DOUBLE VALVE SPRINGS • PSI RETAINERS • CRANE COLLETS • YELLA TERRA PLATINUM ROCKERS • TREND PUSHRODS • FORD RACING ROCKER COVERS • EDELBROCK SUPER VICTOR JUNIOR MANIFOLD • WILSON 82MM THROTTLE BODY • WILSON 90 DEGREE ELBOW • MSD COIL PACKS • ICE IGNITION LEADS • VORTECH T-TRIM SUPERCHARGER (14 PSI) • VORTECH BLOW OFF VALVE • PLAZMAMAN INTERCOOLER • K&N AIR FILTER • ARP STUDS AND BOLTS THROUGHOUT ENGINE Interesting choice on keeping the 40's, what are they flowed too? Assuming it's not running I beams and the compression is low enough, I'd be upgrading the heads to some VIC JNR's or the likes, buying a V7YSI and screwing up the boost!

Thanx for that Cam I'm new to the forums I will post pictures and more info on the car soon
I was originally chasing 500rwhp and I knew the GT40s could make that and yes they are Ported up flowing around 490hp. I am planning on a set of alloys and a pro charger but first I want to drive it and race it for a while before they go on |

Now we're talkin! Procharger and some decent heads would be a killer combo..
Should put up some cash and become a paid sponsor of Ford Forums, i know myself (and many others) would prefer to support a company that supports Ford Forums!

Thanks! Yes but that was with a slipping auto, with a previous setup and making 511rwhp it ran 11.2 @ 122mph getting the auto sorted out now and then back on the track and should be well into the 10s

Nice, spotted the tyre spin and did hear the commentator say 2.xx sixty foot and thought with hook on the tyres a low 11 was on the cards............And that was with the old set up hey.
Wow, some hook with tyres and auto a 10.xx is definitely in the bag!!! Craig.

When it ran the 11.2@122mph it had a 1.6 60ft with 511rwhp with 3.9 diff gears now it has 572rwhp with a 4500rpm stally and 4.1 diff gears so when it hooks up it's safe to say leaving the line at 4500rpm as oppose to 1000rpm with the gears and extra power and torque 10's is in the books, heading to the track as soon as the box is done
Your xr8 n/a is pretty quik what's done to it? Last edited by BLN363; 10-07-2012 at 11:14 PM. |

Looking forward to hear the results from your next track visit..........Keep us posted.
Thanks, Mine is a stock 220 motor with a Raptor blower pushing around 8.5 pound boost, also runs a Snow Performance Water/Meth kit for some chemical intercooling. Need to have my tune finished, bolt on some Mickey T's and see if I can get the times down a little more. Cheers for now, Craig.

572rwhp from .gt40's is ruthless. Who did the heads for you mate. Such a good bottom end with .gt40's is a little strange but 572rwhp is crazy talk Haha. The powerskid video is really good aswell. Cheers josh.

Thanx mate
The heads were done by RACETECH in Sydney, no one appreciates the gt40 cast iron heads so I wanted to see how they'd go with a good bottom end big cam and some boost, Ofcourse il be going alloys later :-) By the way that powerskid was with an older set up running 511rwhp the new setup made 572rwhp but the auto was slipping as soon as i get it sorted il be going to the next event and giving it another go Cheers |
