Default which white

OK ford fans, diamond white is too blue, dynamic white is too pink,stark white is too ''white'' . im looking for a cream/ white - yellow'er than snow white ...is it polar white?... if so what is the ford paint code and year. Hope you can help..CHEERS , Pete

Polar white would be the one, my old mans ZG was done in it but I don't recal if it was the factory colour

yep POLAR WHITE. i only have Dulux ref number [ ford fleet colour 08631 ].im sure it was a passenger car colour at some stage and was a more of a cream colour than a white. can you confirm?

Confirmed. It was a factory off white cream colour like my ZF above. I some light it looks very cream. Definitely XA/ZF & XB/ZG but i think it goes back into the 60's as well.


Winter White is a wonderful bright white, which I prefer but the ZF was ex factory polar white, and so it shall remain.

Polar white definitely has a cream look. It is paint code 3.

This is Polar White on mine. It looks "white" in the bright light and more creamy in the dark and shade. You really notice the difference when compared side by side to stark white. It's the best white ever!

The paint code for Polar White is also E (A) for '65/66 Cortinas.

I have a similar problem...my ZD is Ultra white and I think a bit bland but I think it will be resprayed Polar White..it actually looks like an eggshell type white to me which I think adds a whole heap of character

I have an Escort Mk1 in Polar White which still looks great till today, looks good in any light, so that would be my pick.

Straight white tinter...

I painted a Cortina we once owned in straight white tinter, and when I was buying it the guy said it would be "too white" and would need to be "dimmed down" (or some such technical words...) to be put on a car.
It was cheap though, so I bought it and painted it.

Yep...it was frigging bright alright...
