Apparently Ford flashed a teaser pick of the 2014 falcon at the Sydney Motorshow.
Ive been frantically looking around for it, but cant find it http://smh.drive.com.au/motor-news/f...018-27sc6.html Mod Edit I've created a "Show us your FG-X" thread in the show'n'shine section, so anyone who has already taken delivery, please go ahead and show off your new beast in the following thread.. http://www.fordforums.com.au/showthread.php?t=11428815 Last edited by Professor Farnsworth; 26-11-2014 at 10:22 PM. |

ABOUT TIME!!!
This is the stuff I want to see Ford doing with Falcon, getting good media about Falcon out there... Well done!! Instead of dodging questions about its future, they have come out swinging & mading it front & centre!! |

Can't say I got anything out of that.
Somebody here could probably come up with a decent mock-up by taking the current FG Falcon and adding the Aston Martin-style grille that is now part of Ford's "design language". |

Unbeleivable. I suggest some of you go read the Carpoint article about it.

Do you REALLY expect Ford to make the teaser really clear and obvious 2 years out from release? No! That would only date it by the time it got to launch, which means lost sales! It really does seem that no matter what Ford does, it's never enough, short of releasing a new model every month. And then they'd get owners off-side by ruining resale even more...
Just be glad they've even acknowledged it, and didn't brush it under the carpet. And if I were a gambling man, I wouldn't be putting my money on this just being any old boring facelift. |

If it looks anything like the upcoming Mondeo it should look sweet.

As far as I can see the teaser serves three purposes:
1) To assure the general public that Falcon is staying. 2) To stick it up a couple of anti ford journos who have been making assumptions. 3) To really really REALLY upset a small group of trolls on some internet forum somewhere......... |

Typical, a few AFF members that beg for ford to do something, and they do...but they still are not happy...
Its 2012, not 2014, so ford are not going to say "Hey, this is the MY14 falcon, it has Voice controll, V6 blah blah" Because ford still need to sell the current falcon. Holden don't even have anything about the VF... What ford have done is brilliant... "falcon, goes further..." That my tin-hat topped, lugubrious people, coupled with Graz's comments at bathurst suggest that the "Falcon is goooneeee 2016" tribe is nothing but that... Haters hate on, true Falcon fans let out a cheer! 2014 is going to be a big thing, by gosh its going to be awesome!

Off topic- with GM using the VF commodore as the basis for their 2013 nascar, will Holden be forced to show the VF months before the on sale date.

Got people talking hasn't it ...... that was the purpose and it has worked
For the anti Falcon people ...... now it has been absolutely guaranteed and confirmed that there will still be a Falcon coming into 2016! Anyone who says otherwise isn't listening

Making it look different externally is the whole point. I don't see what's wrong with the current chassis, unless it's a new global RWD platform.
It appears the new Falcon will use Ford's new styling cues, just like the new Fusion/Mondeo. |

Ford Fans: Give us more!
Ford Gives More Ford Fans: What was that? Ford: We gave you more Fords Next Press Release: Here at Ford we have tried to answer our fanbase by adverising our upcoming Falcon model to be released in 2014. This is to ensure the Australian public we are staying, & Falcon is alive. However due to the feedback of our teaser trailer we presented at the 2012 Australian Motor Show, we have taken on the mantra of "damed if we do, damned if we don't". In saying that though here at Ford Autsrtalia....... It is easy to see that people need to open their eyes that finally something done to say that it is staying, and if they had shown the full design, or really a major part of it, then the same group wouuld be whinging that "Ford have shown their design far too early in fornt of the release, & have given their competitors, particularly Holden & HSV a head start, FAIL FORD FAIL" Damned if you do, damned if you dont alright. What alot of "Ford Fans" are yet to realise is the difference of a Ford customer & Ford fan. A Customer buys the car, A fan touts the car out loud by buying apparel, beer mugs, stickers & fridge magnets, but never buys the car. However, not always are both mutually inclusive or exclusive. There are who are both, but it aint a big percentage. And its its the fans who are the chicken littles.......
