My AU wagon is a finely balanced ecosystem. I am afraid that if I clean it the roaches will die and then the rats may starve,in turn the snakes will die...
How can I do that to them?

well, i clean both my cars every week, the BA has been getting at least 2 washes a week lately, been doing lots of country trips out to gippsland.
So i give it a wash on the out side, use some of that eagle 1 wax as you dry stuff ( smells so good ) then cover it with my new car cover, cost me $100 but it is damn good!! The AU: I have to drag my younger brother out by the ear to wash it, i just bought him a meguirs washing kit for xmas,( like roof racks for your dads car ) so we do that once a week and wax as you dry it every wash. I find that if the car isnt dirty, just dusty, i will pressure wash it down with water, then just hit it with a shamoi ( that how ya spell it? ) and that wax stuff, works wonders!! So, just waiting for a nicer cooler day to get some scuffs out of the roof on the BA and give it a full WAX to make it shine even more! Interior cleaning, I get a wet rag (clean) and rub down any spills etc from food, feet, etc, etc.. then i use the meguirs dash and trim detailer stuff and bang that on and wipe it all over ,its not greasy and it works realy well! The leather in the BA is a pain in the *** really, it takes me about an hour and a half to really get them nice and clean with no residue left behind, also using that meguirs gold class leather stuff. sorry for the long post, but i am tryin to waste some time before i have to cook dinner! cheers rob |

I clean my cars weekly maybe more, but both interiors are spick n span and outside's gleaming.
The AU's SR interior is easy to clean and comes up nicely, love the charcoal interiors

My wagon is garaged every night so stays reasonably clean. Give it a wash with wash n wax when it needs it. Cant stand the grind of polishing it with wax. The inside gets vacked about once in six months. The kids rubbish is removed as required and thats about it.

Wash weekly. Mostly the car sits in the garage through the week and comes out for weekends and trips away. Keep it as clean as I can.

My two get washed and interior cleaned alternate weeks. Mine are both garaged, so stay relatively clean. Best intention is to polish every 3 or so months....but, you know how it is.

The misses goes right over her XR8 twice a week, most weeks.
Sometimes it's only once a week if she's busy. Quick Polish once a month. The interior doesn't really get a 'regular' clean, coz it's NEVER dirty. She just keeps it tidy all the time. I'm really proud of her, and how well she looks after it. She gets heaps of comments on good she keeps it. And trust me, it ain't easy with a 4yo running around, trying to make a mess wherever she can... As for my ute... Well, it's a workhorse, so it's gets a wash when I get time. Usually once a month or so, if it's lucky. |
