Hi all,
I ran my motor up today and it took for ever to come up to some sort of operating temp. I let it idle for about 7-10 mins with a couple of revs using about 10l of fuel. The temp got up to 75'C. Now while this sounds like I am complaining about it, I'm not, just wanting to know if its ok. Engine is an all alloy 555cui running 12.7:1 compression, tunnel ram with 2x840cfm pro-systems carburettors. Running on the rich side which could also contribute? The runners of the tunnel ram condensate up quite a bits too. Any thoughts or could anyone lead me somewhere I could get some answers. My major concerns with this street/strip motor was over-heating and if I don't have to worry about it, that's great. I have plenty of experience with methanol, but was unsure of the cooling capabilities of E85. Cheers

E85 burns cooler than normal unleaded, that is probably why.
