Hi everyone!
I'll be picking up a 2008 Focus LT LX this weekend and I'm looking to upgrade the stock head unit to something a little bit more exciting. The car has stock unit without bluetooth installed. I'm wondering if I could get some advice on what to look out for when purchasing a new head unit? I've installed some simple head units before but reading about this one on this forum and others has thrown me a little. Particularly, 1. Does my model have canbus? I want the steering wheel controls to work with any new head unit I purchase. What features should I be looking for to ensure this? 2. Will factory reverse sensors still work with a new head unit? 3. Has anyone had any success installing an android based head unit into a Focus? 3a. If so, which brand/model and what issues did you come across? 3b. Can you control the android music player using the steering wheel controls? Thanks for you help everyone. Looking forward to my first focus! |
