my 2007 2 litre manual focus engine warning light come on while going 110km pulled over had the car towed home the book says this is emissions related problem can anyone give me a clue as to what it might be and if it would be safe to drive to my mechanic 40km away any help would be grateful.

I had a 2006 Ford Focus and the only time the engine light came on was due to a faulty O2 sensor. I suspect (could be wrong though) that you'd need to take it to a ford dealer to plug it into their diagnostic tool to determine the fault code. Maybe your local mechanic will have a diagnostic tool that can identify the code and what the code relates to.

Sorry, forgot to add that it should be OK to drive that distance to your mechanic, but don't leave it too long, best to get it sorted soon.

Sorry guys new here don't really know how to post
I have a 2008 territory just bought It was serviced regularly I noticed the engine temp changes in temp a little Not a massive difference doesn't over heat Shouldn't cars normally sit on the same temp most of the tume |

Yes. Unless a really hot day with Aircon turned on when they will rise a bit. If they rise any more you need to have the cooling system checked out
