Thinking of selling the EB.
Which should I buy? AU 6 or 8 xr or the likes?? Or a BA 6 or 8 in xt form because that’s the limits of my money?? Just because the Eb ive had for near on ten years now and there’s more mod stuff for AU and BA what's your thoughts? Cheers Daniel |

Sad to see you moving on from the E Series.
(Secretly I've been thinking about it too) I've been keeping an eye on car auction houses. Unbelievably cheap BAs with low kms and full service records. You can pick yourself up a 2004 BA XT for around $16000 fixed price or even less if you want to bid (this is in Perth - sure its similar elsewhere). I'd definitely go the BA. The Barra 6 is a real leap forward.

If you can afford a BA then get one. AUs arent that great especially the series 1s. Unless you can get a series 3 XR8 or Tseries. Plus the BAs are much better looking.

I'd go the AU personally, but I've got a fetish for the shape (series 2 & 3s, or a fully kitted AU I XR). However, the potential of the DOHC I6 seems huge. In saying that, if I was to go a BA it'd have to have the 3V 5.4 as a minimum.

Looks like I will be staying in e series. I am looking at a 1998 EL XR6 with a 142000K and he wants $9700, taking it for a spin tomorrow.
