It does taste good when the correct amount is used, otherwise it tastes like Satan. I love it when we try and promote it overseas and some tool offers a teaspoon to an unsuspecting victim ....... I like salt, but a teaspoon of it?

When ever I hop on a plane to go OS there are 2 things I ALWAYS pack....

Aussie flag and Vegemite ;)

When I worked in Korea teaching English my Korean class helper saw me layer Vegemite all over a cracker. She asked me what it was, and after a second replied 'chocolate'...

She asked to try some, seeing as she loved chocolate so much. I spread a very generous layer onto the cracker and down the hatch it went....

She didn't speak to me for a whole week....

Oh well, more for me ;)

I much prefer Vegemite to marmite too, despite Vegemite being made in the west island.
I'd never buy marmite here, mainly because it's made by sanitarium, a company that uses its organisational background to have the privilege of not having to pay company tax.

Can't say I'm a major fan but I do like it from time to time. I remember when I was a young fella and my uncle used to tell me, it was scraped out of the bottom of beer barrels. So get into it, it'll put hairs on your chest. LOL For some reason I have a craving for it right now on toast. Oh well see ya, off to get the toaster out.

Also another vote for Cheese and Vegemite sammich.

I cant eat heaps at once though the taste is too overpowering.

Vegemite on Salada's or Sao's is just Fan-freaken-tastic

another vegimite must is on super fresh white bread and butter (not marg)

We have a saying in our house when we first open the bread "is it vegemite fresh" becasue if it isn't perfectly fresh its only acceptable for vegemite toast not a sandwich

I'm also a bandit for the cheesemite scrolls you get from bakers delight

AS for marmite or dickmite I've tried them but would sooner eat something else than one of them
