Default What is this? A mongrel cross generational project?

Saw this pull up for a formal in Toowoomba this evening. Anyone seen/know it or its history. Looks very eccentric. Merc / g wagen. I'll email full res to someone if they pm their address to me, I don't have photobucket account.

Looks like someone is trying to imitate the horrible looking Bufori cars.

Google "bufori" and click "images" to see similar ideas, but executed a lot better.....

I was going to say they look like Musso doors because of the bump in the window line but when I googled pics of the Musso, their doors have heavy body lines that blend into the front guards & quarter panels.
Whatever it is,it is fugly.

A monstrosity. Equivalent of an automotive zombie. Kill it with fire. Whats with the wooden casket attached to the rear?

If this was used as a get-away-car, and you tried to describe it to the Police, you would be carted off to the local psych ward.

I guess if you start with a Musso there is only a slight risk of creating something uglier.

Yes the tail lights were definetly off a musso, I wasn't quite sure about the body but after seeing those side shots.... Yes and insignia is as close to the nazi as I suppose you'd even dare...

Come to think of it, if Kim Jong Un was invited to the G20, that would be his version of the USA presidential car 'the beast' and thats his line up of bodyguard's 300c lined up behind.

I know of a guy years ago who bought from the auctions what he thought was a VL commodore, when he showed his mates proud as punch, we all told him it had the back end of a VK commodore with a small rear spoiler on it (but front end of a VL)... Peeling back the carpets revealed the welds..

He was extremely red faced, his dad who gave it the all clear at the auctions really needed to go to spec savers. The "proud as punch" turned to "what the hell have I done" as the penny dropped.

What's worse is that he drove it around for years, everyone called it the Minotaur

It would give this beast in this thread a run for its money in the mongrel stakes.

Didnt realise a VL was that different to a VK? Always thought the end result would be like slapping an EL front end on an EF or BF front on a BA
