Thumbs up Fiesta ECU Upgrade

I took my Fiesta in for its 15,000km service and dealer recalibrated the ECU to the new Fiesta WS ,ECU specifications. No charge. Said "I will notice it running smoother and a bit more zippy" I will wait and see if this is true. It is smoother idling at the lights.

I seriously doubt It would do much. As the engine specs are the same as the WP (Save for Zetec manual Gearbox - NOT controlled by the ECU), the ECU update is essentially a running update of the same engine thats been in Australia since its release. I have the same Update in my car, and have not noticed all that much really. They are there to correct small errors, and thats about it.

Ah you would be very suprised what a CU flash can do...given most of the time its autos that notice the difference. It will ahve more to do with driveability than anything else.
