Anyone going to the DJR team mates night (evening 25th July) or DJR open day (day time 26th July) at Dick Johnson HQ?
Am likely going to both, should be a great weekend. |

We asked him if the engine had actually been called “Seagull” and how that came about. “Actually it was just call “Gull”, because I named it that. Because we knew it was going to poo on everything”. |

Car Show At Worongary State School on that Sunday - Gold Coast. Always a good show.
Plan to go there, then cruise up to DJR. |

Was a great day, plenty there to see & do.
Dick and Scott were there for hours making sure everyone got a pic and or signature. Only let down was Marcos took off at 11 after they unveiled the car. I had waited at the autograph table for 30 minutes when I found out he'd already left. Apparently he informed DJR the night before that he was leaving early to make a flight back to Tas. When I asked Dick he said "he's like the scarlet bloody rose, never stays in the one spot" or something to that effect. lol Told me my best bet would be to corner him at Ipswich.

Marcus is co driver for the remainder of the series. Plenty of opportunity to catch up, he is very approachable.
Was a top day Open Day, the Drive in next door was full at 8.30am and they had to open the back paddock, monster crowds.
