Could someone advise me what is the minimum wear thickness of a Brembo front disc before it needs replacing? I have 4/1 set up on my FGII XR6T.
Also, are these disc machineable? |

The min thickness will be stated on the top of the disk , yes they are machinable if within tolerance

you will need a micrometer preferably or a vernia aslong as the lip isn't too big
standard vernier disk brake vernier

Or just use a washer etc on each side of the disc (not on the rotor lip).
Measure. Then subtract washers thickness |

I measured up the disc and I have 31.3mm left. I used Blem's idea of the two washers to avoid measuring the lip.
I also found out that I have a DBA rotor instead of the Brembo so the cops must have replaced the front set a while ago. The min thickness written on the disc was 30mm. There is still about 5mm of material on the pads. So, is there enough meat on the disc for a light machine? There are only light grooves on the face |

If they are 355mm rotors with either 4 or 6 pot Brembos, the rotors are 32mm with a minimum of 30mm. As long they are over 30mm, you can get them machined.

yes machineable as I assume there is no major shuddering or brake pedal pulsation indicating a warped disk.
