Yeah, it's a good explanation and is why as emission standards get stricter, the Rev Hang is getting worse. The difference between my BA to the new Mustang is huge!

My 2011 Fiesta was terrible for this. The rev hang was ridiculous, felt like I was going to eventually ruin the clutch.

By contrast my 2013 focus st is amazingly easy to drive smoothly, revs drop to where they need to be for the next gear. It’s great.
