Well Motor believe that Ford are thinking about the ST - and are watching the Polo GTI very closely

Ford already have a couple of ST test mules kicking round, i'd love to see a XR4 but i guess it depnds on how the XR5T goes, did you know that if your a ford employee you can either pay full price for and XR5t or get you discount and wait until september 2007. we'd already sold most of our ordered XR5's before they were even built. Still got more commig.

Yea - apparently (according to Zetec) the mule ST that was here for the Motor show has been flown back.
Apparently the XR4 nameplate has already been registered in Australia by Ford....

I love the ST/Zetec S body. It just says PHAT. I have also read a few mags and word of mouth, that the XR4 will only be concidered if the demand of the XR5 is high. The rate things are going it seems the xr5 will be a very very hot seller. But my guess is it would be a mid to late 2007 release, that will look different to the UK ST that is available now. UK Ford has suggested a MK7 Fez will be developed late 2007, much bigger that the mk6 but will sell together.

Mk7 already? Damn.... Let's hope they don't ruin the car's ability... or assemble them in South Africa!
Yea - I think the demand for the XR5T will be high... however VW (Who should be worried about the XR5T) just released information that they have now been given the ability to put all 800 ordered GTIs into production, bringing the waiting list down. I guess time will tell as to whether people really buy a sports hatch for the ability, or brandname.
