Easy. Pay attention to the training for about three minutes and off you go.
It requires enough concentration to make the right decisions about which fruit to pick off yet provides the same stimulation as a diet of rice pudding would give. |

they can 'tag' a bit out and chose to not pick it up if has been contaminated or too heavy, they have no authority to issue an infringement

you would be amazed at what people put in bins, particular recycle bins. After the recycle truck is full the driver takes the load to a facility where it is sorted a 'MRF', materials recycling facility, some of the big ones are pretty much automated but some regional ones, the 'recycles' are sorted by hand and the stuff that comes down the line would make your eyes water

I think the most booring/soul destroying job i ever had is up there. When i was 18 I was working on a production line in a comercial bakery. So a factory. They didnt move people around to different product lines so your job was your job. My job was being the guy who sprinkled orange rind on the orange and poppy seed muffins destined for quantas flights. And it was manual, so by hand and having managers floating around making sure none of the garnish sprinklers were using too much or too little. And I'd been on a quantas flight in that period and man alive, those muffins were horrid.

When I worked out the RAAF Base, they employed a security company to do the majority of the site security (previously to that, it used to be the military personnel on a roster basis). One of the stations was at the front gate: a guard house, approximately 3m x 2m located on the median strip between the entry and exit boom gates. It was a 12 hour shift. Perhaps not so bad on a weekday, but on a weekend....

Most garbage collection is done by contractors, they would have no authority to issue a fine, all they could do is notify the council. Reject the bin is easier, leave it siting there full :-)

1 small one for general waste (red lid) 1 large one for recycles (yellow lid) 1 large one for green waste (green lid) 1 new one for glass (purple lid) - hasn't arrived yet so don't know size. I don't drink much so the smallest one will do
