I have a 1998 Futura sedan that I am currently preparing for a RWC and my last issue is that my temperature gauge and light shows my engine is hot immediately after ignition. I have replaced my temp sensor, thermostat and flushed my coolant and replaced it but it still shows the same thing and I am lost as to what it might be.
I have only got just under 3 months to finish the car so any help or suggestions would be great. |

This would suggest the wire between the sensor and the ECU has shorted to earth. So follow the wire back checking for any signs of insulation abrasion and shorting especially at the firewall and connectors in the engine bay.

The Dark Green with Yellow trace wire I think from looking at https://fordforums.com.au/wsm/wire/a...rt%2024-3.html and https://fordforums.com.au/wsm/wire/a...rt%2024-4.html but my old eyes are having trouble reading those schematics.
