the fuse your referring to is listed in the owners manual as fuse 6 - so looking at the dash fuseboard it is the 6th fuse from the left on the lower line of small fuses. the one i referred to is fuse 28 - the 3rd from the right on the top line of small fuses. |

I'm so glad this exists, Because now I'm having this damn issue.
However I'm using the Areopro facia with double din unit and every single fuse is completely fine. Tested a few pins in the main plug for the unit and power is there. I also plugged the old original ICC which worked in and nothing. I've never been so confused in my life. Especially that it was working the day before, then started the car next morning and absolutely nothing on the ICC working. Absolute electrical nightmare. This is such a painful issue. |

Hi. Holding down the power button for more than 5 seconds turns on/off the screensaver function. It gives you better night vision when the lights are off when you are at the drive-in. Cheers MD

Its a feature. I do use it if for example doing a long trip at night on un lit roads. So to turn this feature on/off you hold the power button for a few seconds. Every time you make an input the screen will turn on for 5 or so seconds then back off again. So your icc is not faulty, its just a feature.

ICC PROBLEM
When I bought my fairlane the icc was working, it all of a sudden stopped working and the only way to get it to work again was to tap the side until that stopped working to. I replaced the whole icc except the bem to my dads icc and it did the exact same thing would work till I had to bang it to work then it stopped working one day. I’ve checked the big white icc plug everything works besides brake lights plug, I replaced the brake relay and checked it with a test light and it works but the fuse for it isn’t lighting up the test light. The wipers and flashers do work. The reverse lights don't work but they havent worked since I had the car. The radio works but no display I’ve tried pushing the main power button still did nothing. I’ve replaced all fuses and relays and still nothing. No buttons work besides the bottom buttons like traction control, trip button, lights and lock button. |

if you have to 'thump' the ICC or next to it ....... the ICC connection pins in the white plug at the rear of said ICC have broken solder joints [where the pins join the circuit board] which is what is causing the issue. the only way [other than replacing with a known good working unit] to fix the issue is to resolder the cracked solder joins. also when you replace any ICC make sure the white plug in the dash is pulled all the way out till it clicks, so when you reinsert the ICC everything makes a good connection. |

I’ve noticed only now we’re getting in to summer on the hot days when my car gets really hot inside my icc screen will turn on whereas in winter the screen is black or on cold days.

Hi. Pull the ICC apart and solder the pins to the circuit board again, there will be a faulty power or earth pin joint there somewhere. Cheers MD

As some will know, my BAII has the ICC issue. We took the battery out a few days ago to easier do a PS pump replacement, and I was resigned to losing all the ICC settings in the radio etc, and that's what happened. The next day, mid30s, car out in the sun, all closed up, jump in to move it, and the ICC lights up like it should. Curious, press a button - it lives! So, thanks to cooking in the sun for a day, I now have it reprogrammed with my stations, which I can control through the SWC when the ICC inevitably goes out the next time I drive it. I'm looking forward to getting a black friday deal on a new head unit for a complete ICC replacement, fingers crossed. |

as mentioned .. checkout the rear ICC pin connections at the first board. you will need to dismantle it partly to do this. you will also need some computa heat tranfer paste for when you.put it back together. use a small tipped soldering iron. |
