Default more search functionality

its annoying that you cant search for workd/numbers under 4? characters in length.

when i check the for sale sections for example, you cant type in XB or 351 as they are under 4 characters. its frustrating.

im sure this is because searches will take longer and perhaps slow the site down, but i wouldnt think it would be that much of a problem.

You have answered your own question.. it will slow things down. It's just the way databases work.

Hey Jeff, would it be possible to implement an allowance on certain words that are 4 letters or less for example the various model codes au, ed etc and also as above engine sizes such as 351, 302 etc. Cheers.

What about chucking 'LPG' on the search list? Tts a bit of a pain for us BBQ fuel lovers. It would come in handy, especially when looking for some tech stuff.

Also, if you use a * after the 3 letter word you're looking for, it will search for the 3 letter word still.
