:(
As a few of you know Friday 14 days ago. I did my back. Pulled a few muscles in the righthand side of my back. I feel real good after a dose of anti inflamatories Worked Monday felt fine -> Tues/Wed/Thurs are my days off (My w/e you could say) -> worked Fri/Sat/Sun/Mon/Tues morn. On Monday night I felt a little ordinary. By Tuesday morn I was quite sore again : Thursday and today I'm a little sore. Decided to go see my doctor. I was expecting just a certificated for today. He gives me a certificate of incapacity for 2nd - 16th : My dilemma you might ask? I'm supposed to get a transfer to a new workplace on the 11th! : I'm pretty confident I'll be right in a week. If I see out the incapacity cert till the 16th. I may not get the transfer : How annoying :( If I'm right in a week? I'll have to go back to the doctors on the 8th to get the incapacity cert withdrawn. AH! Headaches :(

In the workplace with the same employer. I'm going from day/afternoon shift to night shift. You would think it'd be fine but my employers not that straight forward.

If you arent going to new job till 11th then they must have someone in it already so surely an extra week wont kill them. Is the new job the same physically as the old one or is it lighter and maybe go back to quack in a week and ask for cert for light duties still allowing you to go to work and start a new position.

The new place is lighter duties. Workcover are trying to get me to work all sorts of weird hours as supernumery. Which is a nightmare logistically due to my children. I'd just rather travel to work on the days I'm supposed to work. I'd rather travel 3 more times than add 6 more days in childcare.

could you not give your employer the certificate of capacity or even go back and ask them to write a new one with different dates?
