i was coming home from school today when i saw a white EL or EF turn a corner with its back right door open then all of a sudden a dog rolled out of it my first thought was that they were dumping the dog but the driver then stoped to pick it up i then relised that the dog must have opened the door from the inside and fell out. i cant realy remember what the El or Ef door handels look like inside but could someone who has one tell me if it would be easy for it to happen or a hard thing to for a dog.

Well I don't think it would be that easy to open.. but maybe the dog is a really clever one..
I just went and looked at my door handles in the back, he would have to be one smart puppy... but that is a crack up .. especially the vet thing

They are like a oval shaped wide triangle.
I know my dog when it was in the back of the EF would try to climb up to look out the window. Its paw normally rested on the armrest or the door handle. |

Maybe the driver didn't close it properly in the first place.

Yeah, what you didn't know was that they were driving to the vet.
Smart Dog.

I was following a 4 door Sedan in Albury a very long time ago and as it rounded the bend the back door flew open and threw a little girl onto the road ( about 6 or 7 years old ).
The poor little bugger was so shocked she jumped up immediately and raced back into the car, I bet the real shock and hurt started a bit after that. My guess would be she probably did'nt shut the door properly being so young, car doors can be a bit heavy and stiff sometimes. This was before seat belts too in case anyone's wondering.

I was taken for a test drive in a rough 302 3 speed manual (floor shift!) XB panelvan once, and when the potential seller took a corner hard I flew out the door!
Pity about the nasty hit behind the passenger door, because other than that it was pretty good ;) I was nearly XB5L instead :P |

Happened to me a few years ago in my XF, i went around a corner and my door flew open,
but my dog was undeterred, he just sat on the seat in the back lookin at the tree go by, there was a problem with the part of the door that secures it and ya had to really slam it shut (almost glass breaking) to get it to stay shut. i had rope tying the door closed (door handle to door handle) for a week haha! |
