I find it appaling that judges and magistrates who are employed to do the same job can have such differing views when presented with the same information. They're not talking about whether a Ford is better than a holden. They are talking about imprisoning a man for a few years of his life! In a matter such as that the police can't exercise any discretion and have to act on the information provided. At the end of the day it's only their job to present the information to the courts. Buuuut we sure don't live in a perfect world and I see no logical solution available. Think I'll just hope it doesn't happen to me!

i was reading the article in the paper today about the whole situation....appaling to say the least. IMO they got what they deserved and hopefully they will do some heavy jail time for their actions.
good to see that the innocent party have had justice served on their part (finally). |
