Get one off ebay for about $390 odd (redback system) and install it yourself. It's only 2 bolts and 2 or 3 hanging brackets.

most exhaust shops will do a 2 1/2 cat back for $180 to $250 depending on what muffler you want.a nice crome tip sets you back around $80.
i got my 2 1/2 cat back with single lukey ultra flow muffler ,for $180 at right price exhausts .

I would love to know these under $300 places. I rung every place in Canberra today.. about 27 I think... and not one was under $350 for a 2.5" Exhaust cat back for a plain I6 (v6 to one guy) sedan non-IRS....

i have the same problem, mind you i am in the middle of the country...but there are only about 2 exhaust places here, 1 i dont really trust and the other quoted $375 for a 2.5" and wouldnt even give me a price for a 3", afaik that was just a press bent one they manufacture themselves not even a name brand

i rang 2 places in melb yesterday for one for my missus ef and first quote was $305 and the second was $275 both fitted and was the redback system with both mufflers and they informed me it is around $50 cheaper with the rear just a pipe instead of muffler.
