I'm ****ed that I didn't take a photo of it, but today coming out of the Wendouree Village car park, I saw an EF falcon that was white. Had black painted dodgy hubcaps, and a barrage of stickers on the rear window saying FALCBOT and other transformer crap. Also the rear Ford badge was replaced with a Transformer one.
My god I laughed hard |:

I thought there was a E3 GTS about to pass me the other day. It had the bar, DRLs, nostrils, and everything.

It must've been all the guy could afford though because the rest was pure, unadulterated Omega. No side skirts, E3 rear bar, no front guard gills, no V8, no quad pipes, no big alloys, no spoiler, no HSV taillights.

I wish I'd gotten a photo.

If it really had a V8, that corty would be worth grabbing and removing those garish flares, spoiler kit would be the first thing to do!

In the 60's the USSR (Russia) had a lot of steel but no cars or cash, and Fiat had a need for steel to make Fiats (Fix It Again Tony) but no cash, or none that they'd tell the taxman about.
So the powerful Italian communist party got together with the all-powerful USSR communist party and did a swap deal - you send us steel and we'll build a factory in Russia to build Fiats except they're called Ladas.
And that lead to this -

And the cunning rooskies sent Tony their worst low-grade steel, which is why all Fiats of the 70's turned into rust dust if you looked at them for too long.
If their electrics didn't make you want to burn them first.

That 4x4 vehicle was designed by the glorious central planners (who also designed shipments of only left shoes) to be a Holden recovery vehicle but it was then realised that there weren't any in the USSR to recover .......

Yep, it’s strange that the "powers that be" didn’t pick that little faux pas up, lol.

Yes, but back in the day, it was a "mark of distinction" for a Kingswood or Monaro to have a Chev badge on the grill. It meant you'd gone to the hassle and expense of fitting a Chev V8 in your car in place of the Holden V8. It actually meant something back then.
Now it's just for **** factor...

Just had a sudden thought today while reading an old magazine from the 1990's. Back when Pro-street was a big thing, someone in the USA tried to get a more "useable" trend going instead of the rediculous tiny front wheels and massive rears with cop-attracting (and usually unregisterable) blown engines. He proposed calling it "Pro-NASCAR". It would have been just like this Magna...big wheels (not "big" as in rim diameter, big as in width but high profile tyres on 15" rims like in that photo) all round, good handling, smoothed bodywork, and lowered. Cars chosen for it would be anything really, as long as it's not hard-edged and is "rounded".

Shame it never took off really...I'd like to see that Magna when it's finished.

Any know if decent brakes can fit behind those rims?
