While the basic Ford Six was code named Barra, the Turbo version clearly deserved its very own moniker – again enter Gordon Barfield.
We asked him if the engine had actually been called “Seagull” and how that came about.
“Actually it was just call “Gull”, because I named it that. Because we knew it was going to poo on everything”.

So I am assuming there are car washes in Parkes?

I will have to do all the detailing when I am up there as I won't have time before I go.

anyone who's here this afternoon...
We can have a pre-meet, meet and meet each other for some meat...

We can hit the Commerical for a cheap meal or we can hit the coachie so that you can have a good look at the menu before everyone else...
let us know...

I have to call the Dish today as I didn't even realise that they shut at 4:15 everyday. so I'm going to ask if someone can stay behind to keep the visitors centre open until 5pm tomorrow...

to keep the Visitors centre open an extra hour will cost $60.
So if you want to go into the visitors centre we will need to let them know before 3pm tomorrow as they shut at 4:15pm everyday.
Just something to think about guys....

There's alot of cool little DISH memorabilia and parkes collectible thingamee's in there...
see you all when you get here...

(better clean the car this afternoon... be a bit embarrassing if anyone saw the car in its current state... : )

Have fun guys, sorry I couldn't make it. :(
Good to chat to Greg, and Gordz, and Gordz' missus, and Doug, and Daniel tonight, : even if we were all a little intoxicated!
I'll call Greg tomorrow to see how its all coming, and for those that I didn't get passed too at the dinner table, I'll chat to you all next year!
