In the scene where Max's wife goes to get ice cream, you can see Max's Black Interceptor in the driveway of one of the houses.

I had to get out the DVD and watch it Phil, well spotted! The Black coupe was a sneaky find.

I also noticed in the opening scene when the HQ (which mysteriously loses its passenger) swerves to miss the truck, there is only one other car further up the road. When the HQ crashes into it, there a 2.

Agree with what most on here have said, the first 2 movies were good. The third doesn't even rate a mention.

The black coupe is not an "Interceptor". The black cars are "Pursuit Specials".
Note that in the start of the MM1, the car Nightrider is driving is refered to as a Pursuit Special - "This one hurts. It's one of ours...a pursuit special".

The Yellow/Red/Blue XB Max is driving at the start is an "Interceptor".
Point in case, when they return from Johnny the boy's court case, Charlie is heard to
say - "I can see the interceptor." refering to Max's car.
In the US trailer for the movie, Max is also refered to as "A top Interceptor for the Main Force Patrol".

The other Y/R/B cars are just "Pursuits".

Call me OCD, but it's something I get pedantic about...lol
Both of max's cars were interceptor, that was his roll in MFP. They were replacing his yellow 4 door with a blown 2 door because he was going to leave MFP.

The black 2 door is referred to as an interceptor in MM2
"Last of the v8 interceptors, piece of history..."

However 'March hare' and 'Big bopper' were pursuit drivers.

yep I'd like to take all the credit for spotting the bloopers, however,

http://www.moviemistakes.com/ was my friend on that count.

be careful if you use it. I've checked a few movies before I went to see them at the cinema and knowing the mistakes really altered my enjoyment level. for example: a vehicle in the latest bourne movie, goes from being dirty to clean during a single chase, so I found myself just looking at the state of cleanliness of the vehicles and not really watching the movie.

Someone told me that the retarded son is played by the actor who played Beu, in those Beurepairs commercials that were shown a while back.

Ill have to watch it again.
