I don't mind it. It's ugly but hot at the same time. If I had one I'd ditch the hard cover, it contributes to the hugely plastic bulgy look of the thing. It's easy to see HSV copied elemets of the FPV/Falcon with the nose.

I've seen a number of them already (I live near Clayton, the home of HSV) and that back does still look a bit odd. I also did a little bit of work across the road from the HSV factory a couple of weeks back, so I saw a few then. I also saw plenty of HSVs before they received the HSV treatment. Space savers all round, and black standard VE bumpers and tailgate. They looked really weird then!

Trust me, GTR's 3.8L twin turbo needs those huge pipes.

The back actually looks like Audi A4 hit by an ugly stick. Audi also called and they want the A6 greenhouse area back from statesman/caprice.

The payload problem doesn't bother me too much because if you're gonna buy something like that, you don't wanna carry much weight anyway..
I might buy one after i become rich.. I mean, i will!!!

I still dont like VE's...I dont know why. They just dont look like a full design...more like it's tacked together.

Saying that, the R8 will be a head turner...mind you they normally are.

I spotted a red maloo with the plates maloo1 on the M5 in Sydney last weekend. As I cruised past him at a nice pace I was very happy with my choice of ride.

I love the look of the sedans but for god sake the maloo ute looks like its been quickly jammed together with no though. It looks heavy. The front lines are concurent to the rear of the ute

I think the rear tail lights are weird, reminds me of the rear of a Mitsubishi Express

Really? I am not criticising you, I have been wondering about it for a while.
If you look under the car, and excuse my lack of terminology here, but there is only a single pipe running from the headers to the rear of the car where it splits into four, I would have thought if all 4 were needed then there would be twin pipes running under the car, each branching off into dual tail pipes?

Sorry for taking it OT.

I cant say that any of the ve hsv's do anything for me,the senator is easily the best of the bunch though.
In my opinion the traditional hsv body kit doesnt suit the ve shape and as others have said the maloo is far to plasticy.

Not a huge fan of the VE front end but I have no issues with the rear. I would buy this over the current FPV versions.

I think the back looks horrid and I still prefer the front of a Falcon. I find Holden lights too squarish/rectangular.

It is a beast, but not to my personal taste. Hope the buyer enjoys it though.

front bar looks good, almost supercar-ish. agree about the rear window, and i thought it was hard seeing out the back of the xr8, with the hard cover and bars fitted! badges look pretty cheap
