Yeh Dad loves cars
we go to all the local car shows, and are now penciled in for the All Ford Day in Geelong. The 20's are not as comfortable as the stockies and they make alot of road noise. But they are unique as I havn't seen anybody else with a set (on the forums and on the road) -----Update coming soon so watch this space----- Cheerz, |

Ive always had images of the previous owner being a big girl with a big appetite...but this is too far...the previous owner is a pharmacist from newcastle...and i cant believe she/he didn't look after there car!!!
Ive already discovered a number of marks on the car, front and rear bumpers scraped and a chocolate bar in the spare wheel well that looked like it is as old as the car and now I have good reason to believe that she/he has spilt a milk shake over the auto shifter. Today detail my car and cleaning numerous parts, like so... I started takeing off the auto surround and cup holders only to discover this!! The pictures don't really explain my point. But it was a mess. It took me an hour to clean up, sorry i lost the pics of it al clean. After that I moved back on to clean my overflow tray. Fuse box cover. Grill, Intake pipe, airbox, and a few other little bits and pieces. So this post is just me complaining because i had to get my hands dirty. It was kinda almost pointless. --------Update Coming On X-Mas Eve-------- Cheerz, |

Lookin great! the 20's look huge on there! any camber wear? Do your blinkers shine through the shadow stuff on the light protectors? i think its illegal if they dont but it may differ from state to state.
i really need to get my centre console cleaned up, its filthy at the moment.. they show up dirt and muck so well! :( seein that top pic in the last post makes me realise how much better the engine bay looks with a nice clean bonnet carpet. anyone know how much they are? mine's stuffed..

XMAS EVE UPDATE!!!!!!!!
gave my car a detail this afternoon after work : and added a couple of extras. some of you may know that i was wondering how to smoke your tail lights. well i wanted dark lights to match the wheels, the cover, the strip, and now these... Here is the difference between my old grill and my newbie, 100% black, surround and grill. And some other snaps From this picture, can you tell what the next thing on my mind is? it rhymes with baint prakes??? and then rotted soters??? Thanks guys, have a merry xmas and i may have something else to update on boxing day, Cheerz, |

Lookin good, black and silver theme is working well.
Some rotter sloters should make it look a bit better. They look great through big wheels.

Mate that car is looking really good now. the grille turned out nice with the boot garnish.
i would even think about putting black tail lights in bit more legal than tinting your tail lights to the darkness that you would want (just an idea).

Are you to paint the chrome bits under the back lights to match everything else black. It would suit it better if it was black. The car is looking ORSM and I shall see you at Geelong.

Alright,
I had a weekend off work and got busy. 1st I made more shiny bits in my interior. The gear selector and hand brake button! Heres how they came out. And I got a set of brake calipers that had done 100,000km (to my 53,000km on the car) off a mate who put some 4 pot brembo's on the front. I wanted a polished chrome/black look like my wheels, so i set off and asked about how can i do this on the bserise section of AFF. the process was to start wit some P600 sandpaper and work my way up to P1200, then hit it with some autosol on an aplicator pad and finally buff it with a rag. Heres how they turned out; As they came home, The products, (and a bit of Cris Pither's 021 Falcon from bathurst this year) Then the sanding, Hmm... Then I Painted it, (masked all the polished part up, the inside, and up the back) Then I peeled it all off, The outcome, Thanks guys, Cheerz, |

Those calipers came out tops. Looks really good. They'll be a pain to keep clean but worth it.

The calipers came out looking tops. Will most definitely suit your wheels. Go the debadge and then slam it.

Alright,
I wanna get a couple of things done before that Geelong AFD. 1. being Exhuast. I hope to be getting this fitted in the next week or so. Ive ordered a Redback xr6 sports exhaust. they will also cut a hole in my bumper and shove a couple of shiny pipes out the rear. 2. to put my brake calipers on and paint all the drums and the rear calipers 3. to paint a stand i got from my pop, which i did today. before; during; after; in the mean time i painted the ford logo you see there Cheerz, |

Hi mate neat looking XT not bad for a first car....
You could use a good can of clear coat for the calipers as this would make it easier to clean as this is what kept my gold calipers looking good for atleast a year... Cheers Chris
