Naice.

If I could only see one in the flesh id be a happy chap.

It looks a bit ugly front and rear on and the looks are not really a genuine improvement over the previous model from what I can see. but looks a damned deal tougher than 98 percent of all factory cars in history imo, so yeah I hope they sell plenty and take some sales figures back.

The engine would be nice in an FG GT

The previous 2000-2002 Mustangs we received shouldn't reflect on the new Mustang in any shape or form, they're totally different cars in different era and different approach to quality by different CEO's. It's like comparing an EA to a EF/EL.
I'm not saying that they are terrible, but compared to a Falcon they aren't that good, in late 2007 I had a current model Mustang convertible as a rental whilst staying in Las Vegas. It's not as if anything was falling off, or there were huge gaps, it's more along the lines of the materials used were very cheap feeling, and simple things like the air vents, and the handbrake lever felt like they came out of 15K Kia.

In there home market it makes sense, as the Mustang is built to be a cut price and affordable fun car (from memory you can get a convertible Mustang for under 20K- US$, which is a lot cheaper than any of our Falcons), but by the time you get them out here it's a different story

By the time they get one out here they cost well over 100K when you count in the cost for importing, conversion, other government costs, so now your talking AMG C63 money, and I know which one will be built better, and which one will feel like it's worth that amount of money, and it won't be the Mustang.

Don't get me wrong I absolutely love these things, but over here they are just to darn expensive, kind of like a HSV W427

I wonder if they fixed the 5.4L ticking/clacking noise in this version of the V8 engine?
</end sarcasm>

Still very nice car! I wouldn't mind one!

Ah I like it!... I hope Shelby does something with the suspension this time around, instead of leaving them stock.

Nah, just wishing like you buddy. Lol, I meant "would/could/should". As if FPV have the nuts to bolt that into a Falcon....

The suspension has been stiffened up over the previous model, wether that will fix the handling I don't know.

Intakes on the right side for FG2. Most Mustangs usually have the intake on the left.

Shame FPV/Ford Aus don't have the balls to give us a real hero car like this could be.

Hell even if they just brought over 100-200 of these GT500's, there arn't any HSV Coupes as rivals anymore..

It'd cost to much to bring over 100-200 of them, convert for our side of the road, pass ADRs, crash testing, etc. etc. etc.

Not that I don't want it to happen. And dare I say it, I'd buy one when my GT-P is up for replacement.

I've been loving the new shape Mustangs for the last few years. So aggressive.

The only engine which would benefit from that would be the Turbos. It wouldn't work for the N/A 6, and as you've mentioned the Mustang intake is on the left, the same side as we are now. Unless they decide to change the intake back to the RHS again for the 2011 Mustang, why would FG2 have the intake relocated to the RHS?

Anymore than it cost for the Cobra's back in 01?

You can buy them new from some prestige car dealers in Australia, with a ticket price of $200-$220k I believe. Big mark up though considering the cost say USD$55k.

Love the look of it though. If I had all the money in the world I'd still only buy one of these. Oh, and maybe a F150 Raptor!

What?

What I was trying to say was that the Mustang has the intake on the correct side for use in a Falcon. And that most Mustang intakes usually come in from the other side. I didn't mean the FG2 will have the intake on the other side, you misinterpreted it.

Obviously the FG2 will have the intake on the same side as it always has.
