The switch globes are removable from the holder. Its a matter of unwinding the "leg" on each side (+ and -). To install led's you solder a resister onto the + and wind the legs on

They look the same as the Odometer globes I mentioned earlier, where the holder and the globe are supposedly "one piece" but can be separated.

Although, they may be a different size or something.

Yeah, the odo and switch globes/holders are the same. If you change the odo globes to led's you can mount the resister externally. With the switches there's no room and you have to squeeze them inside the housing.
I've got a pic somewhere, I'll try to find it later.

The catalogue is a nice find
