a lot of these videos show the chaos that comes from the first snow storm in a place that, maybe only moments earlier, hadn't seen any snow since last winter.
people tend to wait until the last minute to get their winter tyres on, to save a few bucks. some places don't see snow every single year, so people take a chance and hope it won't snow, but then they get caught in the middle of it. no amount of traction control, abs or "all year 'round" tyres will make up for people's lack of preparation. winter tyres are the only solution, but as usual, and just like everywhere, people's memory is very short... |
