I had a look at the data provided to us by Ford for tyre sizes and it was from their tech guys a while back - it listed same size tyre for EcoLPi and Petrol, so probably never made it from engineering drawings to the production guys that it had to be a 225. Interestingly in the 17 inch cars it's 10mm the other way around, i.e. 235 EcoLPI vs 245 Petrol???? Strange.

Does anyone remember the Seat belt recall for the VE commodore when it was new where Holden just said 'don't use the rear seatbelts until replaced?'

I'll go and annoy my local dealership about it, mine seems to ride beautifully. Does anyone know the correct tyre that should be fitted?

just looking at car sales on their spec sheet a 2011 XT has listed the tyre as ............................. 215/60 R16 Alloy rim
can`t see a 2012 xt, but g6 and xr6 are listed as Alloy 235/50 R17 i don`t think i would trust carsales as gospel though, i reckon give the dealer a bell, they should be able to give you the good oil. |
