Are the cars being shunted off to other dealers, repossessed by floor plan financiers or end up at Pickles??

I went for a walk through their the other night, any signs have been removed and there is virtually no way to tell it was a Ford dealer.

Re the cars, don't know for sure but City Toyota had an add in the paper with s bunch of various Fords and the old second hand lot at Centre Ford (been City Toyota for a while) had quite a few near new Fords, I'm assuming they are ex Centre Ford 2nd hand cars.

I started work at a ford dealership back in 94, and sales were good. But along came the AU, not exactly a sales hit. We did it tough and the owner tipped in a lot of his super to pay us and keep the doors open. The final straw was when ford demanded a super duper showroom that the owner had no choice but to build or they would take the franchise off him. We lasted about a year after that and when he could not keep up with the payments the bank came in and sold the business from under him. I can understand when you have a hot brand you should have a good presence, but when sales start to crash and profits are a thing of the past the last thing Ford should be doing is asking struggling businesses to spend huge amounts of money on new showrooms when they can barely pay their staff. But this is not a isolated case, i am sure their are other dealerships in the same boat.
