You may not like what occurred in 1994 but the guy is a human and has not done anything serious enough to not warrant your compassion.

Would be an odd way to go out from a guy who has been traveling at around 300km/h for some of his life.

Pretty scarey brain injuries, depending on the type some you don't wanna come back from,
my old mum had an aquired brain injury 8 years ago, having been in the brain injury section myself at the hospital and rehab visiting many times and seeing some other patients with horrific head injuries , it is surprising to see what people can come back from and live a reasonable life, hopefully mr Schumacher can too. |

I just hope theres no bleeding in the brain. There's not been any mention of this, which has a big bearing on his full recovery.

Hope he makes it.
Senna drove people off the road too remember, and there is an international tear duct for him. Last edited by MethodX; 30-12-2013 at 10:27 PM. |

I have mentioned that this man has won championships, but his sporting nature means he will never be considered by me as a champion.
That said, I am praying for him to be well asap.

Your choice whether you like him or not but big call if you have not met him. This is not a thread about F1 Racing. Have some respect for human life. I find it terribly sad when any person is in this place and his wife and children will be distraught.

Pretty classless to not care about a human life because of that. And hell you can look at pretty much any sports star and you'll find something like that in their career. Doesn't diminish the fact he's a human being with a family. And say what you want about that accident but when Ferrari told Barrichello to let him win in 2002 he gave the spotlight to him and gave him a win later in the season.

But, as much as I dislike the driver, I can only wish him a speedy recovery. No one deserves this. I feel for his family at the moment. Hope he pulls through.

Schumacher brings out the anger in some people and do does Vettel, racing is racing, those guys aren't out there to lose. I watched pretty much every F1 race of Schumacher's right from the beggining and he was the best driver on the track year after year after year, I also saw all Ayrtons races and I think Schumacher was just as fast if not faster. Anyone with a family will have compassion for him during this time for the sake of his kids if no other reason. Everyone else needs to go and have a hard look at themselves in the mirror and see what's in there. Michael has done a lot of good things for a lot of people in his days, now its time to return the favour and wish him well.

Reports this morning saying there is no improvement & he remains in an artificial coma.
Keep up the fight Michael...

As a nurse, speaking from experience. Michael would have been better off being killed, in the accident. Serious brain injury that Michael suffered will leave him a incapacitated for life.
He will face years of rehab and will never get back to original self. Makes you wonder why bad things happen to good people.??

From what I've read they got to him pretty quick so that's a good thing. No point writing the bloke off yet, even the doctors don't know what will happen. He'll be right.

Hope you`re right. Two things on Michael`s side were that he got treated quickly and that even after the impact, he was still with it, just a little agitaded from what I read.
