I really think this is taking planned obsolescence to the next level . Oh sorry Mr the engine in your car has died out of warranty due to injector failure that will be 20,000 dollars to replace...

Given its a DI engine, the grade of fuel shouldn't effect the carbon on the inlet valves because the fuel is injected AFTER then intake valve.
If the carbon is from the PCV system possibly a 'catch can' type oil separator would help, might look into this. If its from the EGR then we're probably screwed. Although if the exhaust valves aren't clagging up then I can't see why the inlet valves would do so with relatively less exposure to exhaust gas. |

ford parts dept sell a upper cyl cleaner ,it is the same shaped can as subaru!!! part no maybe r1-6 or r1-16?? cant remember??

btw i think there is no epa type warnings on the can regarding creating huge amounts of white smoke,annoying the neighbours and creating deadly traffic hazzards, heh heh heh! omg i love loopholes! beware the can is coloured fire engine red
