The seller has an interesting sales history with low mileage cars.

He had 20,000 's =27,000 so 40,000 k's = 13,500 (1/2) so 60,000 k's = 6,750 so 80,000 k's = 3,375 so 100,000 k's = 1,687 so 112,000 k's = say $1,000 Uk Mind you on my maths my car would be -$7,000 And no I am not going to pay someone to take my Silver AUIII XR8

There are two blueprint T series for sale. One TE & one TS. They are both under 10,000kms and both are immaculate & both sellers are looking for $55-60,000.
Something I'd be very interested to see is what that car will require over the next 12 months if it is put back on the road. Iv'e found that cars left to sit in garages for years in often need more parts replaced than a regular driven car. |

Thats pretty unique BA.
AU T3's are the ducks guts of the line and love having one lol, sorry not being smart here just happy but I loved the XR8 front end having had the S3 before hand from new. If only that big stroked wheezer could have fitted under the low line bonnet, much better front end overall imo. Thats all XR8's lacked, that added punch of the stroker. That T3 low asking money is on the mark imo, a tseries owner of a manual similar low k's and blueprint spent over $50k some 8yrs ago. It wouldn't bother me if I was buying any rare unused car regards to parts needing replacing, obviously they would need to, the water pump, all hose's, radiator checked etcetc all I would get done from the get go making sure its in top running order. Well worth doing imo, heck I do that religiously on any pre owned I've bought in the first place for piece of mind.

I agree 100% with you on T3's, preferably the TE as I prefer the more basic console/aircon. It was remarkable both for the time and in that short build period that a car got that kind of development locally. Yep, that green T3 looks to be excellent buying on the surface, I wasn't aware green was an option. I was set on buying 1969 American car next year as a 50th birthday present to myself but I'm seriously thinking about a T3 sedan instead.

and I prefer the extras the TS has hence my choice but in saying that, both are great AU's.
Congo green is a brilliant colour for the T3, I was close going one whilst searching but that bright blue just seems to fit the T3 so well. My other fav colour is Monsoon, looks mad and not many of those either. The only American I would consider is due to my hero Moffat, a 69 Boss. I think about it at times but there is one thing about the ownership of either overall, the driverbility and the AUT3 with that IRS handling and Brembos is a great combo for taking on those beautiful aussie country roads of ours - plus its a unique Falcon, Mustang can't give me that.

yep spot on.
I would have an oldie in a heart beat, my real desire is having a XB coupe over a mustang, and you know what they are asking for now for a POS then to pour in the rest making it a nice reliable unit for weekends a T3 or a XR8 is the go to package imo at that sort of lay out.

I honestly do not see any value in this car besides maybe 15k. It’s a series 2, auto with cloth interior. It’s not like it’s a fully loaded series 3. I’d take a T3 over this any day at that price point.

IF outright performance and stopping power plus originality isn't your criteria go for it, a great 220XR8 But in manual it would have been even better. TBH when you look at equivalent XR8's that have triple the amount of k's and then add more lets say between $10-15k checking a couple on carsales right now this is a $20k XR8 imo IF your looking for a original very low k specimen and willing to pay for it.

If the ebay auction was genuine which it appeared to be (too many different bidders) then why would you buy it & try to flip it to make a few grand? I'm with the other members, this is worth no more than $20k currently and whilst they all have much higher Kms, there are a handful T series for the same or less money available now and a pair of P250 utes. It will be a miracle if AU XR8's out do T3's in the 2nd hand market I would have thought.

Yes i agree that at this point in time, this car is worth around the $20k, anymore and you're in the T3 territory. That Congo green manual one (with brembos if you don't mind) is a beauty and very well priced for $25k i know which one I'd be buying over the other regardless of kms on either.
