Have you rebuilt the engine, if so what have you done, you running a stall, aftermarket comp, and what boost, and driveline, it sur cant handle much more.

engine is, as i have said before, from the wreckers. it has had a headgasket, valve springs and a mild turbo cam. it runs an early v1 wolf and around 15psi boost.
it runs a 3 speed auto, std diff with a mini spool. breaking point.....not yet, have replaced 1 pair of axles because of a twisted spline that has been it. |

haha i thought it must have been a C series box, theres no way the BW boxes would hold up to that punishment......

was a bit of bad news from calder from friday week ago
car broke an axle on the start line have pulled out diff through the week and fitted 28 spline axles going up to heathcote tomorrow to see if i can better the 10.50 in preperation for the ford forums drag day. |

The car is back up and running.....
did a bit of testing at heathcote on boxingday everything went well. on some very soft launches the car went a best of 11.8 @ 126mph so plenty of room for improvement : hopefully i will be out more regularly over the coming months and try to imprive on the 10.5 she has run ***still running standard bottom end***

that is very impresive!
I want to turbo my EL now I probably will when its paid off, and I don't need it for a while. I can't believe u were running 25 spline axles!

hey ea ba turbo, any chance of finding out the headbolt tightening torque you guys run, currently building my own turbo eb.

2.92 auto + 130mph would be 5800-ish rpm in 3rd across the line?
And with room for improvement in time/mph, I guess a shorter diff wouldn't be a good idea if it'll potentially break 6000rpm over the line : I want to make babies with that EA! |
