I think its a tad early to put names down, taking into account the number of people who couldnt find the time to support us last time when they put their names down!

Lets just remember at this stage the great day had and continue from there.

Us old blokes will be back next year with our grandpa rides, the highlight of our weekend was the jelly wrestling at the Kooringal Hotel.

I think first and foremost, as minge said, its a bit early to put names down. However, when ppl do put their hand up, they will not be listed as coming until they have filled in and sent away an entry form. It was a bit annoying having ppl saying they were coming and not putting in entry forms. It would make Austin's job a lot easier.

Agree'd Mrs B2TF it is a bit early, there still are a few ideas about changing locations from year to yearto make organising a bit easier. and im all for having it in albury same time next year then wagga the year after. as TIKFD6 and Bprint Xr8 said the albury AFD is pretty much dead and we could alternate or split up the organising to make it much easier. now we just have to find a venue in albury that has NO dirt roads and is reasonably close to town

Any chance of trying for Bolton Park next year?

For the City folk, thats the park on the main Hwy next to the tennis courts with a dead Aeroplane sitting in it. )

You've done good. I may be able to make it down next year, depending on what's happened in day to day life, and what condition the ute is in.

About the Albury show:-

Im not really keen to have it in Wagga one year Albury the next for the simple reason that it would be a nightmare to coordinate. That, and it only takes people to be a bit unsure of where it is this year and they dont come for fear of missing out.

What I would (and will) do is keep doing the Wagga show in November, at least next year, and then maybe look at going to bi-annual. If Albury wants to put on a show at another time of the year I am all for it but it is simply too hard to do the same show in 2 different locations.

Provided forums admin are keen, Ill be aiming to make Wagga AFD the main forums event of the year, as it is about halfway for the majority of our members (SYD, ACT and MEL). That said, FPV day etc will always be huge things for FFAU also which is good.

2006 will be bigger, better and have more to do than just show n shine hopefully. There is also the possibility of a venue change, we'll just see.

That would be great, really central to everything. The only drama would be getting permission!

Not that hard at all. I had it for 05 show but the insurance costs and logistics of it all were too much.

Orrite, silly question. How would the venue affect the insurance, main Rd traffic perhaps ?

Ah its all very complicated and laced with BS but basically the venue has a lot of flow on effects i.e. if its concrete or grass you need to decide what the risk of people falling over is. if its on a main road where do they park and how is it controlled, if it is not fenced/enclosed how do you do that etc etc. lots to it.

a real PITA to do too.

Oi! Watch it! : i refuse to agree to him putting a body kit on a 4 cylinder car! i think it looks silly (no offense to anybody on here who has it, its just my opinion). But if he keeps having you and Ashley in his ear he'll go and do it anyway! So quiet, both of you or you'll be in big trouble! : :voldar02:

well I'll tip my input in, after unforseen circumstances saw my late withdrawal.. Sorry Aust but you know the drill :(

It is the WAgga WAgga day, and it seems to be Austs baby.. He did a lot of work singlehanded to get this off the ground, it seems to me some people are wanting to get on his coat tails, others have had some great suggestions on improving the show..

Hey Austin if you need any help just let me know. My biggest suggestion would be car/entrant numbers on cars, making voting a lot easier

Guys Aust and myself have spoken about sharing the venues of a show.
It will not work.

The Albury show will not go ahead next year, as the ALbury/Wodonga Ford club folded earlier this year.

The show may go ahead the following year if i can get enough local intrest and people to give me a hand.
How about we play it by ear?
