SBS since they got top gear on now! woo! i'd say 10 if they would just get rid of the crap like their 'seriously' bullsh*t and Rove (HE'S NOT FUNNY!!! aussie tv is seriously wrong if Rove wins a gold logie 3 times. either that or the logies have become meaningless) and just so many little things, i would hate them alot less.

TV has been lame since Hey Hey Its Saturday was cancelled.

I almost never watch TV. Only motorsport on ten and sbs, as well as top gear and Fat Pizza. Also watch a bit on Sunrise on channel 7 so I can get the latest traffic report.

I'm in motorsport heaven: nhra, fhra (euro. drag racing), ihra, speedweek, chequered flag, superbikes, GP bikes, A1 GP, top gear, wrc, rally world and of course the V8's, just to name a few....

honestly i am you have it plugged into foxtel which has all these 7.9.10.abs.sbs.briz31 etc crap but without the box i cant watch it..
pay tv in my house :(

Any channel that does not have reality TV I will watch. We have Foxtel so I enjoy watching the science and nat geo type channels. :alien2:

The question lacks other choices, I have Austar (Country Foxtel) and this is okay except the picture quality is HIDEOUS on large screen TV's, the picture (FPS) is compressed terribly owing poor allowable bandwidth, though the Movie Channels are a little better.

So I tend to view much more television on C Band satellite TV, Star Sports, Videoland Sports, AUTO Channel on Asiasat 4, the BBC's motoring program a la Austar/Fox, DWTV's "Auto Motor & Sport" is very good, you can now get this if you have your own set top box on PAS8 K band. C31 via Westlink WA on Optus Aurora has a motoring program too.

The quality on C Band TV is much better overall than you get with Austar/Fox when using big screen TV's, much more allowable transponder bandwidth.

A DVD is the same quality basically as a SD-'Standard Definition' terrestrial digital signal. Foxtel/Austar is LESS than that in frames-per-second, but digital TERRESTRIAL reception is equal to DVD-SD, except those programs 'genuinely' running HD, here the quality is 'better'.

So basically, terrestrial digital ****es on Foxtel satellite digital in quality, and much C Band satellite digital matches terrestrial quality. Some C band services are genuine HD too, these services will grow.

The launch of the new Optus D series satellites will help improve things for Fox/Austar I hope.

My company sponsors C31 www.c31.com.au, but I personally would watch more of channel 10 due to the V8's. Not a big TV watcher really however.
