well at 4pm last it takes as long as queueing all outside of heathrow! i think delays of 6 hrs were reported at one point.

I flew to Atlanta from San Francisco today and apart from not being able to carry any liquids or gels in your carry on luggage and lots of serious looking security dudes the delays weren't bad at all, maybe 5 minutes longer than usual as they looked at the xray machines a bit more closely.

Apparently Heathrow will grind to a standstill within the next week if the strict new travel rules for the United Kingdom stay in place, also apparently there have been 4 other major terrorist plots against the UK since 7/7.
