$2/litre is still cheaper and less hassle than replacing a blown head gasket from the inconsistent, rapidly evaporating 98 Octane pump fuel.

Only ten short years ago I used to drive out onto the tarmac at Bathurst airport and fill my XT from the bowser. Dont think I would be able to do that anymore.

avgas is being phased out due to the lead..
you can get limited quanitites if your racing category still allows it .. not for much longer... you can actually make more power on PULP depending on your setup.. may be the right time to change over.. normally the issue is valve seats. |

normaly the issue is compression most people build there motors these days with hardened seat bronze valve guide and s/s valves anyway
