Yes, in addition to damage to the underbody, driveline and exhaust, he may also have broken the steering lock if he unloaded front wheel first and then if he turns slightly the weight of car get levered against the front wheels when he drops the rear breaking the lock. Used to happen with mu 1st car in the early 70's with idiots showing off lifting the rear of my car when it was parked and moving the rear sideways; usually broke the steering lock in a way where the steering wheel couldn't be turned at all so I had to get it towed.

Love the technology of the time too. "How do we make it faster?". Don't lighten it or modify existing car engines like normal people do these days, just whack in the biggest engine you can find, out of anything you can find...aeroplane engines used to be popular in things like Napiers and other land speed record cars and racers...and if you can't find one big enough, make one big enough. Which is how you end up with a 28.5 ltr four cylinder engine.
