I mentioned some critiques upfront only so people here clicking on it knew what to expect as a kind of a forewarning some parts are a bit different, but to bare with it no matter what their immediate impressions might be it's worth sitting all the way through. I didn't want to just put it out there without comment in case anyone with a short attention span switched off on a minor niggle because they would be missing out on one of the best things I've seen on the BA ever, world class IMO (E: without the fast food bits lol). I enjoy watching your stuff, I remember when you first got the AU and later on the 'office desk', and have also previously linked your stuff here for people needing a guide on manifold gasket replacements (with some caveats too ;-) ). I've subscribed to this guy for about 3 years, he rarely shows any emotion. After that run and when he see's the 1252 hp and the camera does a 180, you can hear him going off his head from inside the car. |

Unimpressed by this repair. They conveniently skip the ultimate removal of major damaged parts, and butt-weld where I think there was supposed to be an underlap (50 minutes in). Our man in Lithuania often turns out better work with lower grade gear.

It's a tragedy what happened to Miles but I just love the story about the GT40 so much. USA powered, brit engineered (and Miles did so much in getting it right), and some great Kiwi drivers taking it to the top.
I've always respected mclaren, hulme and amon for talent and bravery (getting into the drivers seats of death traps), and of course being noted on the world stage as good enough to be hired for that job. It's hard to imagine USA and UK bosses paying attention to some sort of NZ 'blow ins'; must of been hard to get their seats over a USA, UK or european driver yet here they were, 3 of them in the top 2 finishers. |

Came across this whilst surfing YT.
Anyone spot the similarity to a very famous iconic car chase movie? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Wl0fjSFKl8E

Heres a real police chase local to me, lockdowns not the time to be running around with a firearm, with lots of coppers with not much to do by the looks.

Two of my favorite cars in the one video! Drifting by the Sultan of Slide Tiff Needell.

Ever since top gear/grand tour and road kill jumped the shark I haven't known where to look for car shows.
These guys filled the gap last year and I'm glad they're back after covid/2020 I know of them all and not huge fans of their individual stuff, but like it when they get together (not unlike OG topgear) I found it funny when they have to impersonate another car youtuber. Tavarish does a doug demuro impersonation, Ed does engineering explained and Tyler does chrisfix LOL. I guess it would only be funny if you know them and the people they were impersonating, but it's like OG topgear for me. If that doesn't float your boat like up drowning cars in rufford. It's the watersports version of all those low bridge truck destroyer vid compilations. There's compilations and if the water is at a level anywhere near the small ped bridge you know nearly everything is stuffed. It's summer just gone so that vid shows low water level and not that interesting. Even below that high water/bridge level it seems the BMWs get got and stuffed almost every time. Good video source to teach people about getting and maintaining bow waves and why. Last edited by oldel; 16-09-2021 at 01:12 AM. |
