I love it. |

No more along the lines of everything in the OE is required to be calibrated.

More a case of optimizing it for best performance for the wheel/tyre/suspension combo. It doesn't become unsafe however ... after all, tyre grip degrades with time, people don't always replace tyres with the same compound, etc. The system needs to be able to cope with all of those things.

In theory so could changing the brand of tyre to something the same size but with more or less grip. Where does it end?

You turn it off everytime you start the car? :/
With the 8" wide tyres the car sort of needed DSC Ive fitted 10" and so much more traction I can actually drive the car with it off.

I believe you can get it "tuned" out. Or at least re-programmed so that by default it's off.

I'd be more interested to know if you can actually get the DSC settings adjusted by Ford if you fit the 275 rears to a factory 245 rear car...

Looks a bit Jaguar-esque, slinking round the corner! Reminded me of the '97-'05 XK8/XKR front......

If you listen hard enough you can faintly hear it at the end but yeah I wouldn’t get to excited by it, just sounds no different to any standard S/C Falcon.

The driver doesn't even look to be accelerating hard and I think the original post was a bit of wishful thinking - I can make out a faint 'car driving past' sound, but not an engine/exhaust note.

IMHO, a few posters are missing the point here - an actual video of an FG X being driven and an XR8 at that!!
Agreed, it sounds like a S/C GT, but that's a good thing isn't it? Up to now (not counting Ford teasers) we've only had stills....

I think the vid gives us a better look at its proportions, as you can see it change angles and see it amongst other cars...

I'm surprised that no one has complained (yet) about not getting a shot of the dash as it drove past

I thought the one I drove sounded bloody excellent for a stock exhaust. And when I was following someone else driving it I could hear it from a good distance away.
Blower whine is awesome too. |

Wonder if any of those tyre marks on National Boulevard north of the Ford factory were made by the black beast ;)
No sign of FG-X in the vicinity yesterday!
