Painted the Brakes today!!!
this is what i started with. A dirty wheel and rusty drum. Then took the wheel off and painted the drum black. put my caliper in front for a laugh!! (they will go on tomorrow) then detailed the wheel, in and out, tyre shine in and out. The outcome of the front wheels Then the rear (my setup HAHA) Drum Black Caliper Silver Outcome Then some pics Gave it a wash then a polish, and did something else :evil_laug you can also see my tips, Cheerz, |

Nice work bud, like the removal of the XT badge, get yourself a trolley jack and some stands little safer than the lovely scissor jack.
Combo on the brakes black and polished works well, well done Another tip just watch the spraying of the tyre shine stuff too much and it will flick up on the car from front and rear and you will end up with tyre shine spots all they way down the car. learnt that myself.

Thanks Jase,
I also removed the MKII Badge. Yeah I know what you mean with the tyre shine. I waited about an hour and a half after i did the last wheel before i drove. Cheerz, |

There are cheaper brake upgrades that are available without having to go the whole hog on big names. Will get some more info from our club sponsors and will let you know what is coming up.

You have done a great job with your car and should be proud of what you have acheived. But??????? it would look a whole lot better with an increase in your disc rotor dia.. Its only a small thing, but oversize rotors would really finish it off againts those big 20`s
