lol. I remember seeing them on XDs to XFs all the time during the 80's and 90's.

The whole stripes on a BA-BF XR6/XR8 thing has been done to death as well. I'm not a fan.

"Sig Erson Cams" stickers.
GTR-XU1 stickers on nearly every LC & LJ Torana, even 4 door ones too!

I remember one sticker that i had on the back window of the XB GT coupe in the 80's that every one wanted but only a small minority could get......
"FALCON GT club of Australia"

Bubble windows -
I had black plastic ones on both sides plus rear barn doors of my XC GS Panel van - very cool

Murals -
most Holden vans had painted murals but there were magnetic murals available for that l'ess permanent' look. They were about 500mm x 300mm in size

shaggy/fluffy cloth material -
adhered to the complete dash, rear parcel shelf plus all over the console. If money wasnt an issue, it was all velvet.

Gabriel pump up air shockers on the rear - gave the illusion the front was extremely low but was a real horror when cornering fast.

a P.A. speaker under the bonnet attached to a CB radio so you could speak to those chicky babes walking along. :

Yeah, what were those people thinking by putting the 'bogan stamp' on our flag...

Must be why i put mine on my car, because i dont see many stickers with the union jack... but wait... thats not australian...
Maybe you could come up with a symbol that is more aussie and instantly recognisable?

Putting a "big bore" exhaust on VN's VP's etc

Usually consisted of cutting the resonator off and fitting a 3 inch pipe, made the car sound like poo.

: I'm guilty of a few of these. I do love my pop up sunroof on the ute. And my fluffy dice.

I'd have to say Cannons on 4cyl cars have become a staple.

There's 4 things that really irritate me, 3 already mentioned from what I read...

The southern cross (a.k.a. bogan) stickers, every p-plater ricer has one. There's nothing wrong with being proud/patriotic on a general level, it's simply doing this kind of action in excess, to the point that it becomes a bother and superfluous.

The big bore exhausts making that drone-like noise on 90's commies (I don't know how I even tolerate a certain VR/VS ute up the court next to where I live going up and down almost every day, making that same terrible note...). 5 inch dumpies/cannons on 4 bangers also come in the same category. The people that drive these things fail at life in general.

The 'jetpilot' sticker. To all the tools with one: It's a car, not a damn jet.

Fourth would be the fake chrome hubcaps. I think they reached a whole new level of visual pollution with these supercheap auto items

EDIT: Apologies if the last one had been mentioned earlier in the thread by anyone.

Ok, read the whole thing... I gotta ask, what's wrong with dragways??? I know they're a thing of the past, but they are tough on the right kind of car IMO As for hornet scoops, I only see a few cars still getting around with them, but it has to be said that they also suit certain cars to a tee.

Yes, that was a fad, and rather a regrettable one.

Spinner rims, stick on fuel cap lids, fake dual exhausts, cutouts of bumpers for mesh, retrofitted xenon headlights on cheap cars (they don't have projection lenses and therefore are just ultra bright), monster rims on cars with around 200mm diameter disc rotors and single pot calipers; not a mod but I hate Camry's with a passion (or the fine motor skills within whenever one of these suburban eyesores is encountered).

Van man I would have a van in a second (sex-ond?) if the missus would allow it. I STILL love them, but they were a fad.

Driving home from work the other day i saw a silver XD van with proper lift/drop tailgate and factory S pack.
Was a tradesman van, roof rack, tow bar and stuff, but in pretty good condition.

I started to dream...
