If money was no issue then yeah I would pay the asking price or near enough to with a little bit of haggling,
I’d want some pic’s and written documentation of the car with myself and Dick as that would be worth something as the year’s go on. |

Lol, late model FPV's are just like a base model XT Falcon to drive... until you put the foot down of course. But even then it's still manageable when stock. What a weak excuse.

I don't quite agree fully with that, there is a noticeable firmness about the suspension that sets them well apart while the foot is not planted. It might be intolerable for some.

Pretty sure before that auction his reason for selling was he bought it as a family car for his Mrs but was far too powerful to even drive!
Oh Yeh, just like a real crazy solid cammed manual 4v clevo XA to drive they are?! Normal people can't drive them...[/QUOTE] Probably code for.........my wife also has to work, the repayments are high and she is not very happy with me at the moment. Cheers Mick |

Well it sure sounds like it from the posts i read on here..and i do have one of his cars. Not every one is squeaky clean with there lives or finances, but Dick has always stuck with racing and with ford as much as any one man can...so i will continue to back him to the hilt..

To be fair, it is SOME of the posts.
Good luck to him if he can get what he's after. From what I've read it seems the car has not been registered; surely it would be worth more to someone if DJ himself was the first registered owner?

Or Ingall. I reckon he`d be the type of bloke that as you turned around and grab another can, he`d slip a can of fly-spray in the fire then excuse himself while he watches 50 metres away behind a tree.

oh for sure or greg murphy..its almost like the old days when you had a fight with someone and you knocked them down, you waited till they got back up and proceeded, not like today different set of rules, like lowdnes purposely running into the back of frosty at bathurst, just nasty.....

At +$150K the only special feature it has is that it is at the apex of other over priced GT-F's If some fool falls for DJ's nonsense, my hunch is there will be a 2nd DJ GT-F magically unwrapped the very next day. |

"Another Dreamer" Thanks Blue Roo...wonderful to have someone as wise as you here to keep me humble.
Any chance I can grab your contact details, I need to shoot in to work tomorrow and tell our DP that Blue Roo said we're going to lose money on the two Used GT-F's we just bought. LOL. He won't believe me, what would I know but YOU! Dude, how could he not take your words seriously??? Maybe you can start an advisory business so that we don't make such silly mistakes in future? Ah I love this place. |

Why stop at just two used GT-F's , your DP should buy every GT-F currently listed and make a huge profit. The way you make if sound, there is a rip roaring, highly profitable market in used GT-F's. But the numerous examples which appear on carsales well after week, month after month steadfastly refusing to sell seems at odds. The dealer details would be appreciated. |

Why Cheap...do you doubt me buddy?
Did you read the original post and are you looking at this in the full context? My DP doesn't buy the cars, I can see how a superficial reading might lead you to conclude that he does but read it properly and you'll see that's not what I said. So I'm happy to give you what you need, just not sure why your post comes with a bucket load of attitude...having a bad year already? |

Who ever buys the car for whatever price, do you think it will go up in value when DICK passes on?

All GTFs will eventually go up in value because they are the last "Australian Built" Falcon GT..............speculating on a short term gain is both lazy and dumb imo. I'm sure most owners have things in perspective and will both, enjoy and "Drive them like they owed you money"....Dicks car will probably have a certain amount of novelty value over and above other examples to some enthusiasts of course. Cheap, you're not too bright buddy.
There is no way on this planet you'll get courtesy from me with an attitude like that, WTF would I bother with you? If your half as smart as you think you are (and I think you are) jump on carsales, last I looked there were 17 for sale, you work out which two come from the same Dealership...I know that I could do it and anyone with a brain larger than a walnut could...good luck and you tell me how you go ey? |

^ Just remember that the dealership you work for is currently being represented by you and your posts. Also remember that anyone in this forum (or online) could be a potential customer.
(Just friendly advice)

Appreciate the advice gentlemen, I'm just not going to be treated like crap and give courtesy in response...treat me with respect and you'll get nothing but in return.
