Schaz maybe you were one of the select few that turning 30 didn't bother, but I remember looking back and thinking OMFG I haven't achieved half the things I wanted to.. Once your passed the initial 30 the mind settles and you don't start freaking out again till someone starts telling you how close to 40 you are :

Well fiery & tori
Im 31 now and still dont act my age.. But i have been to a lot of places and done a heap of things .. a LOT of them stupid Now im 31 i cant wait till im olded I would like to skip ahead 5/10 years and see where i am then and if i did not like it come back and change it .. Wishfull thinking hey .. your 30 get over it soon you be 31 then 32 It dont matter You never have to act your age or even tell people your age and the good side of things are that a lot of guys like the 30ish girls The best .. Now i want to go back to when i was 14 and wipe out the 8 years of my life i spent with a troll

Well Tori isn't 30 yet but I'm kinda a few years already passed 30 : For blokes it is different mind you.. you guys don't start getting all weird until you get near 40 then 50... For us girls (well most of us) it was the whole turning 30 thing and then nearing 40... then apparently we settle... (I'm a few years off finding that one out thankfully).. It might really depend what else is happening within our lives as to how we react to getting older.... :

Don't PLAN your life , be spontanious (sp?) If something comes to mind that you'd like to do , "go do it" (drives the Mrs crazy) can have the best times doing that . you never know what might happen tomorrow ....I've travelled , Aust only , Partied , Raced cars , been a muso (30+yrs), owned my own business for 16 yrs , married for 28yrs , 3 great kids....... If I "dropped off the edge" tomorrow , I'm contented with what I've done. everything now is a Bonus : Once you've had your 30th , look forward to the next one "29" & next "28" etc great for the ego :

Funny, at age 16 you cant wait to be 18
At 18 you cant wait till your 21 and so on You cant go backwards so enjoy your time as it happens.

Thanks Kezza for reviving this thread and reminding me that I still have a hell of a lot of stuff in the next 2 months in order to finish my list. _
This list of mine was always about having fun... I wouldn’t trade my 20's for anything even though I didn't do all the things that were on my list. But in all honesty I am looking forward to my thirties more than I ever thought I would and that is for one reason and one reason only.... because I get to spend them with my soul mate. : But anyway a lot of people wanted to see the full list and I had refused earlier to admit to it but hey what the heck…. Here it is. Remember I was 21 when I wrote it. And NO I will not tell you which ones I have done and which ones I have not! 1. Ride a Jet Ski. 2. Fly in a small aeroplane or helicopter. 3. Own a brand new sports car. 4. Travel the world or at least go overseas. 5. Make love in the rain. 6. Take a boat off the coast of SA and photograph the Great Aust Bite. 7. Visit every capital city in Australia at least once. 8. Spend a day at a five star spa being totally spoiled. 9. Marry my Soul Mate. 10. Consider having babies 11. Find a career that makes me want to wake up in the morning. 12. Date someone Mum would hate. 13. Buy a house of my own and pay it off 14. Have sex in a public place. 15. Circumnavigate Tasmania in a four wheel drive. 16. Sunbake topless on a tropical island. 17. Stop biting my nails. 18. Scuba Dive on the Great Barrier Reef. 19. Watch the sunrise on the beach and watch it set over another. 20. Jump out of a plane – Sky Dive. 21. Have more then 78 cents in the bank. 22. Pat an animal that could eat me. 23. Play the Piano again. 24. Sleep under the stars in the desert. 25. Shoot a gun - safely. 26. Sip champagne in a Hot Air Balloon 27. Ride a motorbike 28. Go Skinny Dipping 29. Have sex in a plane, train and an automobile. 30. Have a damn good go at achieving this list.

Sorry Tori .... haha actually no I'm not sorry at all... this is what friends are for isn't it.. to remind us of things we wanted to do etc :
You know.. the fact that you are the TMI Queen of Australia I think there is a few people that could rattle of what you have already done on this list... Or at least guess some of it

I've not done 2 of those things (every capital city & 4wd tassie), I've half done number 6 (didn't get to take photos). I did all of them except marry my soul mate, dive the great barrier reef and consider babies before I turned 30.
Firey - turning 30 was a stress to me, but a couple of years after I turned 30 my life got all the better by meeting the man I'm now married to (and allowing him to bounce minties off my breasts - in public)

pfft 30, id be suprised if i lived that long, as most people have said enjoy life while u can, because once your 70 you cant really do what your doing now (owning flash cars, rewting in the rain/plane/bus/car/train etc etc)

tandem is for pussies ;)
I went skydiving in Victoria Falls in Zimbabwe in 94, we went fixed line jump, from the airport, hell of a lot of fun when you've just landed (and fallen over!) and you've got to bolt off the runway coz a commerical jet is coming in to land! 40 is going to be a riot! I'm married to the eternal child! We'll leave the ruggies with the nanny and go NUTS!!!
